What a great way to start the day…

It’s not everyday you get to spend the morning listening to someone, like the gorgeous @_sarahwilson_ that has a message that really resonates with you. 

I found myself circumvented onto a path working around the clock to build a success career following my time at university. 

On this path I was committed to being a high performer in my chosen field, travelling all over Australia, meeting with clients and the jobs demands. 

I was doing all the things I knew were wrong, I was eating out for convenience, reducing my exercise levels as I was working long hours, averaging around 5 hours of sleep, and becoming more and more disconnected from my core values and purpose. 

My days consisted of driving cars from the cities to regional and sometimes remote areas, working with clients all over Australia, attending airports and staying in hotels rather than being mindful of making conscious daily choices of prioritising my own health. 

I too was diagnosed with Hashimotos which hit me hard. It put the stop button on me and made me reflect and change my perspective. 

Now I ensure my health is a priority through wholesome eating, balanced exercise, getting adequate sleep, ensuring I am connected to my core values and looking after my mindset by living with purpose. All the things, I know and value as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist. 

There is 5 key elements for true holistic health that I strongly believe in, which are move, nourish, restore, connect and mindset. 

Thanks @_sarahwilson_ for sharing your views and reiterating the message of working from your core values and purpose but most of all doing stuff that actually matters and serves humanity on a larger scale. Look forward to reading your newest book once released.
